Sock monkey accessories

I wrote a pattern for a sock monkey sized pom pom hat and matching scarf :)

Sock Monkey Pom Pom Hat:

Hook: G (4.25MM)

Yarn Size: Worsted (shown: Red Heart Super Saver in gray)
Finishes measurements: (unstretched) 3 1/4" tall, 8 1/2" circumference
bpdc= back post double crochet
fpdc= front post double crochet

Round 1: (use magic ring method) Ch 4, 12 dc in 1st ch, pull tight and sl st to last ch st on starting chains
Round 2: (back loops only) Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st to 3rd ch
Round 3: (back loops only) Ch 3, dc in same st, *dc in next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st* (repeat around), 1 dc in last st, sl st to 3rd ch
Round 4: (back loops only) Ch 3, dc in each st around, sl st to 3rd ch
Round 5: (using both loops) Ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st to ch
Round 6: Ch 3, *bpdc in next st, fpdc in next st* (repeat around), sl st to 3rd ch, tie off

How to make a pom pom
The pom pom template I used was 1 1/4" diameter, with a 7/8" middle hole.  I filled the middle hole completely to make a very full pom pom.

Sock Monkey Ribbed Scarf:

Hook: G (4.25MM)

Yarn Size: Worsted (shown: Red Heart Super Saver in gray)
Finished measurements:

Ch 51
Row 1: Starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across (back loops only), ch 1, turn
Row 2: Sc in each st across (back loops only), ch 1, turn
Row 3-4: Repeat row 2
Tie off end and add tassels
